Quinta do Sapo is a spacious and secluded country villa in an elevated location with superb long distance views over rolling hills and orange orchards. Located just 5 kms from the historic old town of Silves with its imposing cathedral and Moorish castle, the battlements of which can be seen from the villa terraces and are floodlit at night. The pretty Algarve coastline around Carvoeiro is within half an hour's drive.
Approached along an unmade track through citrus groves, the villa has several steps leading up to the front door which opens to the entrance hall with a vaulted ceiling and stairs to the first floor. A feature of the large, comfortably furnished sitting/dining room is the central wood burning stove; in addition there is a DVD player, video and digital, wide screen television. |
Sliding glass doors from the sitting room open on to a balustraded terrace with superb views to the castle at Silves, whilst doors from the dining area open on to the pool terrace. The attractive, well equipped kitchen has a hatch through to the dining area and a door to the pool terrace. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs, one of which has additional twin bunk beds suitable for small children. The villa master bedroom is upstairs and has a private terrace with wonderful views to Silves and the Algarve countryside. Outside, extensive terracing surrounds the pool and there is a large built in barbecue. The pool can be heated in the cooler months at additional cost. Villa grounds extend to approximately two and half acres; the areas around the villa and pool are landscaped with colourful shrubs and the remainder has been left in its natural state.
