| This is a unique opportunity to stay in an apartment situated in one of the towers of the 13th century Château de Saint Projet, once residence of Queen Margot as well as Louis XIII. Full of character, the apartment is spread over 3 floors of the tower. The ground floor consists of a small, well equipped "eat-in" kitchen and bathroom. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor which is furnished with interesting antiques, a sofa bed and television. Finally, the spiral staircase leads up to a second floor which is the double bedroom and has stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Guests are free to wander in the 3 hectares of beautiful grounds with lawns and fountains, however the apartment does not have a private garden. It should be noted that the rest of the Château is open to the public during the afternoons in Summer. Situated within the small village of Saint Projet, there are no shops but a van calls by regularly selling provisions. The nearest small shops are at Caylus and there is a choice of walking, horse-riding, canoeing, cycling or visiting other châteaux within a 20 km radius of St Projet.
