Idyllically situated amidst 11 acres of lush tropical rainforest reaching down to the pure white sand and clear azure waters of the South China Sea, Japamala is a small, intimate location perfect for couples, honeymooners and nature lovers. Reached in approximately 30 minutes by speed boat from Tioman Airport or from the main harbour, Japamala is truly exclusive with just a small number of traditional styled villas and tree top chalets. Designed for utmost privacy, the acccommodation is reached by wooden walkways and is well tucked away providing secret retreats.
Every effort has been made to preserve the natural state whilst providing traditionally decorated, spacious accommodation offering seclusion and comfort. There is an excellent, restaurant situated on a verandah overlooking the Ocean serving a good choice of Thai, Indo Chinese and Malay cuisine and the "Mandi Mandi" restaurant located at the end of the jetty serves international food, snacks and beverages plus offering regular barbecues. |

Stepping stones lead across a clear pond to the small swimming pool and the Spaya Spa offers a wide range of unique spa experiences either in a natural cave environment or at the hydro pool built on the cliff edges. Treatments can also be arranged at the beach gazebo or in the privacy of your own room.
Just metres off the white sandy shore there is an underwater garden with colourful coral and a variety of fish for snorkellers to explore. For the more adventurous, swimming for approximately 800m will bring you to a deserted white powdery beach which stretches for 1km and is home to a magnificent array of marine life. Scuba diving, sea kayaking, fishing and jungle trekking can also be arranged.
