| Set in a hamlet deep in the countryside, Kerodet typifies life in rural France. The owner, a farmer, has built a new house and converted his old farmhouse and some of the outbuildings into four gites (see B2944 and B2945). This property lies to the left-hand side of the farmhouse and is spread over three floors, it has retained its character with thick stone walls and exposed timbers. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished with a very large stone fireplace and there is a kitchen (washing machine) and dining area to one side. Upstairs, the bedrooms are spread over two floors with a double bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor, and a twin and mezzanine with single bed on the 2nd. Outside, there are swings in the courtyard and table tennis in an outbuilding; there is also a shared pool and extensive grounds. It is worth noting that B2926 can be booked with B2944 and B2945 for families wishing to holiday together. Coray has a good range of local services, including a supermarket and tennis courts. Quimper is the nearest large town with hypermarkets. The best local beaches are found at Fouesnant (22 kms). |
