| The owners of Le Placis have carried out an immaculate and painstaking restoration of a beautiful old stone farmhouse, one end of which they have retained for their own use. The main room downstairs has beamed ceilings, old tiled floors, exposed stone walls and a lovely granite open fireplace. The furnishings are either of good quality or antique, including leather armchairs and there is a CD player in the room. The kitchen has been fully refurbished during 2008 in traditional farmhouse style with all modern conveniences including dishwasher and microwave. The quality of decoration throughout this property is excellent. All bedrooms have their own washbasin. Outside there is a terrace for dining and a large and well maintained garden with swings. It should be noted that the garden is not enclosed and the lawn runs into the cornfields around the property. A baker passes by twice a week, otherwise Créhen (1.5km) has shops for everyday needs, plus a café/restaurant. The nearest hypermarkets are at Dinan, Dinard or St Malo. There are lovely beaches close by, the best being at St Cast and St Jacut. Canoeing, fishing and horseriding can also be found close by. (5th bedroom to accommodate 2 extra people available at extra cost). |
